Hello, and happy Saturday!
Today we are presenting the second of the TRS Weekly Challenges, and this week was al photo inspiration challenge! I love a photo inspiration, because I find the hardest part of making a card is often just deciding how to start. Using a photo inspiration is a great starting point because you can take inspiration from the colours, the subject of the photo, or even just the mood.
Once again, the design team has made some beautiful cards to show you!
Allison Cope drew on the colours in the photo, and used images and sentiments from "Let's Hygge" to create this "I Miss You" card. The flowers on that chair are just incredible (I think she coloured those herself!), and that background with the stitching is so pretty.
Jill Taylor also took the colour for inspiration, using "Mermaid at Heart" to create this beautiful underwater scene for a fun shaker card. The shading and texture on her tail is just stunning!
Marilyn Scheller used "Welcome Little One" to create this adorable layered circle card selecting the navy and pinks in the photo for inspiration for a bit of a nautical feel. And can we talk about how amazing Marilyn's colouring of the mermaid's hair is??
Kevin Bray drew on both the mood of the sky and the colours to create this simple yet stunning winter time card. He used the treeline image from "Welcome Winter" combined with a sentiment from "Skate Sleep Repeat". Look at that beautiful ink blended sky!
And here is my own take on the photo, using the colours of the photo for inspiration and images and sentiments from "Let's Hygge". The chair is paper pieced from patterned paper, and you will be able to see how I did this in an upcoming post and video.
