Happy Saturday everyone! It's time for another fun Saturday Challenge for Three Room Studio.
This week our challenge is to create a card using a pastel color palette.
I wanted to use these gorgeous polka dot patterned clear acetate sheets from DCWV. Using the backside of the clear acetate, the polka dots are pastel colors (purple, orange and pink) whereas the front side are more vibrant. I went to my scrap paper bin and pulled out some matching miscellaneous patterned papers. I then adhered these panels to heavyweight card bases.
The Awesome Coffee clear stamp set finishes off these cards perfectly. Using many scraps for paper piecing the coffee cup, I made numerous coffee embellishments. I adhered them to coordinating cardstock circle die-cuts. Using liquid glue and strong double sided tape, I adhered the embellished circles to the patterned clear acetate layer. I kept all my cards blank, as I plan to add the sentiments when I give them out. My intention is to give these cards as gifts with a gift certificate to a local coffee shop.
Now, check out my fellow Design Team members...
