Today I created a card featuring the Yay! stamp and die set.
This stamp set features this fabulous happy woman cheering a friend or loved one on! It's perfect for those big accomplishments or special days that someone has been working toward or waiting for.
I created a cheerful birthday card for my daughter's 30th birthday tomorrow. I can't believe she's 30 already. Where does time go? Her 20's have been exciting and full of accomplishments and big moments. I can't wait to see what her 30's hold.
I colored the image with my Copics and die cut it out with the coordinating die. I also die cut out the Yay sentiment and it's shadow die. I love having the sentiment and shadow dies in this set. It's a nice way to use up scraps and you get a perfect sentiment every time.
I also used a secondary sentiment here. There were several in the stamp set to choose from and I added the birthday sentiment here. I cut it in half to make smaller sentiment strips which allowed it to fit in the space I had available on the card.
My background is an embossed background using an embossing folder that I've had in my stash for years. I'm pretty sure this is the first time it has been used! I really like the texture it added to the card.
I added an inky highlight behind my image and gave her a small shadow below her feet so it would look like she was really jumping for joy! I have here popped up with some foam. I also have some foam behind my secondary sentiment to add more dimension to the card.
